The Northern coastline of Castellon, is known as the Orange Blossom coast.This is the centre of Valencia’s fruit growing region and the air is filled with the sent of Orange Blossom at certain times of year.
There are many blue flag beaches along the coast. Inland there are ancient hillside villages dating back to the era of the Knights Templar.
The region is more peaceful than the southern costas and is a favourite with Spanish holidaymakers.
Expect the temperatures to be 1c to 2c cooler than southern Valencia.
If you need a break from the unspoilt scenery, the region is placed conveniently between Barcelona and Valencia. Both can be reached by the excellent train service.

The house has excellent views of the medieval fortress of Papa Luna, Pope Benedict XIII, and the old town. The castle and town were used when the film El Cid was made.
North Beach is made up of fine golden sand and around 4km long.
